We had to make a change. We missed two extra points and a 10-yard field goal. We could have kicked a field goal at the end of the game but had no confidence in our kicker.

I'm not a big believer in making sure everybody scores. You have to get the ball to people who have shots. That's the only way Texas Tech scores points is when they are out there on the field. If we can come out and have a high-powered offense on Saturday, that will help out our defense a lot.

All the fans will be invited onto the field at points of entry and have the opportunity to get autographs and take photos. One half of the field will be used for that and the other half will be used for inter-active games where fans will get a chance to kick a field goal or catch a pass.

If we had a decent kicker, I would go for a field goal. But we don't really have a capable field goal kicker. We pray on an extra point. We're put in a position where we have to go for things. A field goal here and there would make a big difference. We just don't have the ability to do it.

I hesitate to give raw scores because that is not how we score the teams. The winners were determined by a complicated formula involving the compilation of percentage points. In this case we had to use the raw scores, too, because we had a three-way tie.
