en After four years of busting my butt, when Larry Brown was hired I'm not saying they owed me a job, but I deserved a phone call from Isiah [Thomas] or Larry. I got nothing. I've never said two words to Larry Brown.

en We know we're short on pieces, ... We're trying to hold down the fort. Actually, this is beyond trying to hold down the fort because this is probably, really, who we've got. We're talented enough to win some games. As long as we have Gil and Larry and some bigs [Brendan Haywood, Brown, Thomas, Michael Ruffin] we have some hope.

en Last time I checked, Larry Brown started in college, for example, and he might be one of the top coaches.

en Right now he has a contract. He intends to honor it, and I'm sure between now and April 1, I'll have discussions with the appropriate people. Larry's been there the last two years and done everything asked of him. He's made the Pro Bowl. He's not been a bad player. If they want to sign someone else instead of Larry and release him, he'll end up playing somewhere else. Players have only so many options.
