en Folks within over there know how a lot of those things are handled are somewhat of a shame, but you can't really just point fingers to say it's the Green Bay Packers because it's an issue all across the league, ... There's not enough minority coaches in the league across the board. So, just to pinpoint that one, that just so happened to be an issue that I kind of experienced first-hand from my relationship in Green Bay as well as with Coach Washington.

en It was a brief conversation. Naturally, he was disappointed. I thanked him for all he has done for the Green Bay Packers over the last six years. I think he's done a fine job under some difficult circumstances and maintained a winning tradition of the Green Bay Packers.

en The great thing about the West Coast offense is that it is adaptable. I know in my time in Green Bay as a quarterback coach, one year we were tops in the league at rushing and the very next season we were tops in the league at throwing the ball.

en I am having discussions regarding the mandatory use of visors in our league with the stakeholders in our league, which includes the team owners, league personnel, the players' association and the National Hockey League. Unfortunately, it takes an incident like that to refocus attention on the issue.

en I thought I heard 'green. My earpieces weren't completely clear all day. What I thought was a 'green' wasn't. I don't blame myself. I'm not mad at myself for it. I mean if somebody else is sitting in fourth trying to go for a win, you thought you heard 'green,' you'd probably go, too. I was being proactive. ... I apologize for anything, any kind of repercussions that happened from that.

en All I can tell you is it was a very emotional time for the whole team to see a great man like that go. We don't know what the future holds. All we know is that coach Sherman is no longer the head coach of the Green Bay Packers.

en We had a great relationship in Green Bay, but now it's closer. We're 10 times closer than we were in Green Bay. We're able to relate more personably. We're able to talk more on a personal level. But in Green Bay, it was mostly about hockey.

en This happened to be my first visit, and I fell in love. Coach 'Bo' [ex-wide receivers coach Bryan Bossard, now at Maryland] referred to it as being in a relationship. If you're committed to one girl, why would you want to go talk to other girls? So, I canceled my other visits, to Central Michigan, Bowling Green and Hawaii.

en My talk with him (Sherman) was very brief. I will begin the process of interviewing potential head coaches this week. I do think that in the long run this is what's best for the Green Bay Packers.

en I'm disappointed I'm not the coach of the Green Bay Packers anymore. It's been difficult letting go of something you've embraced so passionately the last six years.
