en From 1978 when I bought my Apple II, for the next four years I just threw myself into PCs, and did lots of things - I had a little consulting practice, I formed an Apple users group in the New England area which was, of course, the first one on the East Coast, and I started a tiny cottage software business doing a statistics and graphics package for the Apple II.

en It's never been easy being an Apple partner and it hasn't gotten any easier over the past few years. Apple has a long history of doing direct sales, and the fact is, they're actually pretty good at it. What you have to do as an independent is to look at the next set of things you can do. How can you out-service Apple when they already provide a high level of service?

en A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice.

en They have managed to create business where there was none. There was no personal computer until Apple. There was no digital video business until Apple. Today, the digital living room is a zero-billion-dollar-business. And it will probably stay that way until Apple gets into it.

en It represents a big win for Apple and the Mac platform. But Apple doesn't represent a threat to AOL's business. Apple isn't a media company; it's not in online services. It's not the same threat as when Microsoft wanted interoperability.

en It's a nice product. Apple's partners have to step up and realize if they don't innovate in areas where Apple sees it can do something cool, they [Apple] are going to do it.

en The problem is, to be at that nirvana, Apple would have to have the ISVs increase their investment on Apple hardware, at least in the transition. That is very difficult for Apple.

en In some ways, Dell shouldn't be competing with Apple, at least not on Apple's terms, ... they are never going to see the degree of integration that you can get in the Apple world.

en The real strategy for Apple is to make this a much easier transition for Windows users over to Apple. So, you don't have to leave your Windows programs behind. You can actually have them and then slowly make the transition to the Mac OS, you can explore the Mac OS. Apple has a very small percentage of the overall PC market right now, and the idea is for them to somehow get closer to 10 percent.

en They would come back happy. One would have a banana. Another had a yellow apple, and one had a red apple. Their daddy bought it for them. That was enough.

en I thought it's two birds with one stone ? to lose weight and to prove a point for the little fat people, ... Just because they accidentally put an apple pie in my bag instead of my apple dippers doesn't mean I'm going to say, 'Oh, I can eat the apple pie.'

en Once that chip migrated over into the Apple, people started jumping to the conclusion that we were going to get viruses, and you'd be able to run PC software and all of this stuff. These machines aren't going to do that. It's still the Mac operating system. What's more important to us is that Apple has gone to this chip for one reason: It's a dual core processor.

en I'm less devoted to PCs than into the disdain of Apple. Apple users are so arrogant and evangelical about their choice.

en If anything, it makes it better for Apple users because it gets more people into the Apple fold.

en As far as I know we also almost bought Apple once. We almost merged with Apple two other times.

en Apple says nothing about this practice in any of the relevant licenses. Apple should be clear about its information gathering practices.
