We don't know how many people are going to actually do it, but we're gearing up for a lot of people to do it. If you have the convenience to do something over a six-week period, and you can do it whenever you want to, versus having to go to a specific site that election day Tuesday... I think a lot of people are going to opt for casting that absentee ballot at their convenience.

It's about people moving around by walking, by cycling, by public transportation. Obviously, (the car) is not going to disappear overnight. But we strive for a society where its convenience is lowered and the convenience of these alternatives is raised.

We're not children here. The law is-how should I put it? A convenience. Or a convenience for some people, and an inconvenience for other people.

There may be some added convenience for some local neighbors. But I don't think giving a few people some added convenience is worth the risk to public safety.

They walk in, look at the specials and they just keep walking. A lot of people think we're the customer service counter. We're always trying to bring awareness, letting people know that we're here and open seven days a week. It's an excellent convenience, you can do your grocery shopping and do your banking all at the same time.

Bank gift cards sell the convenience of being able to use them at many sellers. Many consumers are willing to put up with their fees to gain that convenience. Vote buying is part of the case, but the absentee-ballot interference is, to me, much more sinister. It involves forging names, the theft of ballots from the post office, and voting (on behalf of) people who never even see the ballot.

Shoppers would prefer not to pay taxes and it might affect some purchases. The number one reason people shop online is convenience and the ability to comparison shop easily. An added 5 percent sales tax on the bottom line doesn't dramatically alter the convenience aspect of buying online.

People want both. They want branches where they can talk to people and the convenience of online banking when they can log on out of hours. The two feed off each other.

We need to acknowledge explicitly that we are dealing with people, even when, of necessity, we must classify people into groups for convenience.

When you give people the option and make it easier on them, you find that people will recycle on a much higher level. Convenience is really the key here.

I wish there was a better word for it, because I can't use it in any of my marketing, but it really is the essence of what we're doing. People want to come to meet one person, make all their decisions and do everything in one place. In 2006, people want simplicity and convenience.

If you work in casting, it's sort of not cool to want to act. A lot of people think that casting directors are frustrated actors, but it wasn't true with any of the casting people I knew.
