Those two games down ordspråk

en Those two games down there definitely helped. It was good to go out there, because you have to test it in a game situation. When you get into this environment, you can't simulate the game. And if I test it here and have a setback, that kind of hurts the team as well. So I didn't want to do that. It's not 100 percent, but I didn't expect it to be.

en It's another game that will test what kind of team we are. We've had a lot of those this year, but this is so close to the playoffs. It's definitely a test of where we are and it could show what we're likely to do or what we aren't depending on what happens in the game.

en It hurts me, it hurts them. It was my responsibility to get this team ready for this game, and I didn't do that. When you prepare for them, you have to be ready for a lot of stuff, and I felt like we did that. It was just a matter of us not executing. We didn't play well today and didn't deserve to win this game.

en It was sold out, really loud and really intense. It was a good away game to get us tested. We passed that test ... I had a pretty fair game and helped my team win.

en We're going to meet a team that's pretty angry. Their last two games didn't go that well. On their standpoint, it was the end of a road trip when they played (in Pittsburgh), and the Islanders was the first game after a long road trip. They're not always easy games to play. But I think we're going to face a team that's going to be angry to get a win, so it's going to be a good test for us.

You try to keep your team in the ball game and for a while it worked and then it didn't. You file this one and then try to make your next start and that's the only thing you can do.

en It creates an opportunity to simulate a real-life situation in a safe environment, without a catastrophic result. By taking the test and studying, it's just a good refresher for them on the laws and the safe practices that you should exercise each day when you're working with electricity.

en We've been on a pretty good roll and certainly played a bad game tonight. Texas didn't become a bad team after Duke (a 31-point setback December 10) and we didn't become a bad team after these 40 minutes. We certainly aren't going to dwell on that.

en This was a good learning experience for us. This game was a carbon copy of the Gulf game (a 62-28 loss for NCT). It was a more athletic team that got us into a tempo we didn't want to get into. We don't normally get to see a team like this and we can't simulate this in practice and until you get use to seeing that on a regular basis, it's hard to get use to dealing with it.

en You could say it was a test, but every game is a test. Every game is just a horse of a different color. We'll be tested again with the next team on our schedule. There's no rest for the wicked.

en I made it through, that's all I can say. I didn't play a great game, but it was just good to be out there. I wasn't 100 percent, but I helped the team win and that's what it's all about.

en You have a game plan. Not like a football game, but an idea of how you want to play, you establish it, and that's always the test when you fall behind early, to see if you can sustain what's been successful. That's kind of a test for us, to play as well as we did for 60 minutes.

en Every team is going to try to test you on the ground. I'd be really shocked if they didn't come out and try to establish the running game. That's just usually the way things go.

en We were pleasantly surprised. We did a fitness test coming back, and we didn't lose anything physically. And you're always worried about a setback in terms of remembering sets, but they've looked good.
