And we'll need that for a successful growing season this year.

The zoo is growing every year - as are many venues in the West Valley - because of the growing population. This has been our most successful year, though, and I'm sure the white alligator has something to do with that.

We just didn't take care of business. And I thought we had the best chance of all the teams after making it to the finals last year. This year was just a different season. Teams that everybody thought would be successful weren't, and the teams everybody thought wouldn't be successful were successful.

Just about everybody's returning. We had a winning season last year and went two rounds into the playoffs. Hopefully that plus a year will enable us to have a more successful season.

The program has been very successful and it's growing each year.

I've been with a lot of teams, some successful and some not as successful in their records and by and large, this team competed all year. We grew in ways I hope will be helpful in 2006. We have a lot of work to do in the off-season, but we have a good beginning.

If those are growing pains, I'm fully grown. I think everyone knows that ... the season we're coming off was a very difficult season. That certainly is behind us. It's our second year, and we can put our stamp on the program.

We are disappointed with the loss, but we have some much to look forward to next year. We had to do a lot of growing up as a team and we had to mature quickly. The experience our freshmen got this season will be very valuable for next year.

We'll let the whole year play out ... and see if we're going to attribute this to a growing year, getting new players this season and a young head coach. We'd have to build quickly next year, though. It's very hard to get a quality player (in free agency). Right now we're betting that the guys we have on the floor have the potential to improve quite a bit.
