That might sound funny, but if you look at last year's results, we lost three games by seven or less. We could have gone into the tournament with five wins instead of two wins, and then that confidence would have been there. So there are opportunities to improve our record dramatically by winning the close games.

en It just attests to the kids. It's not beating down the record books, averaging nine or 10 wins a year. But still, these leagues are tough to play in. Look at some of the other coaches in the league who are very good. Our league has some of the best in the state.

en The way that this school is able to get kids to play at championship levels speaks volumes about the area and the type of kids that go to the school. Anybody can say they want to do it, but it takes pride, dedication and the will to work to actually get it done. And these kids believe in getting the job done.

en Monroe is a team who, although has a 1-10 record in league, is very capable. They can beat anybody. I have a lot of respect for them and how they play hard each time out. If you do not come to play they will beat you.

en If a kid has a B-plus record, what does that mean? If a school doesn't give any A's, it could be a very good record. You've got to position the kids in some relative environment.

en I let the kids play. Some coaches aren't as open to that. We're going to take it to people and make them prove they can beat us, and we're going to change the reputation about this school.
