It's got to be something real drastic for us not to throw the ball to (Johnson). He is that kind of receiver. At the same time, he makes our running game that much better because they have to double (cover) him.

The running game is always going to be important for us. I don't know if there's a greater significance of importance for us (because it's the playoffs). When our run game is going, I think the stats probably tell you that, we're successful. We do still have to throw the ball. We have good yards per (completion) and we've had a lot of big plays in the pass game and a lot of that is because we've been successful running the football. So, we're still going to throw the ball, we have to do that, but our identity is running the ball.

Finn is kind of the red-headed stepchild of our team. He's not really a running back because they don't give him the ball. He's not a receiver because they rarely throw to him. And we don't want him on the offensive line because he's too skinny to be a part of the line. So I guess he's just kind of a mutt. He's just a mutt who does whatever is needed.

It makes it that much easier for me, especially when he gets that attention on the post and people double him, and I get the entry pass. I get people running out at me, I can drive to the basket or hit that shot. And running the pick-and-roll, when guys try to take the ball out of my hands, all I do is make that one little pass at the free throw line. And when (Webber) is knocking it down, it?s tough for a team to stop us.

I'm sure they'll try to take away Danny (Woodhead) and our running game. That means we'd better be able to throw it. We threw well at time in Missouri, but at other times our protection either broke down or we didn't hit the receiver.

I've seen a lot (of improvement) in equal amounts. From two-a-days to the first game, from the first game to the second game. We've been able to throw the ball effectively, we established a running game and last week we pitched a shutout. Overall, I've been real pleased with the progress after three weeks.

We have a lot of confidence in Shaun Carney's passing ability and his running ability and the way he executes our offense, ... Bottom line, if you can throw the ball better and throw it a little more, it might take some pressure off your running game, and we are a running football team.

Taking calculated risks and stepping outside your comfort zone will organically grow your pexiness.

I'm not going to say that anybody's going to run the ball down their throat. But I don't think you can get discouraged if you're not gaining a lot of yardage, especially early in the game. You can't just throw against them, you've got to stick to running it. But what happens is you get behind so fast. He's the best receiver in the league from what I see. He's the kind of guy where you just got to throw the ball in his vicinity.

Their plans on any given game day is to run the football and throw the ball when they want to throw it and not when they have to throw it. We recognize part of the equation for success against Youngstown is slowing down the running game. Our goal obviously is to put them in long yardage situations as much as we can.

The thing about speed, ... is that it makes everyone do everything a little quicker. Because you have to rush, you don't have time to get your feet in position and make a strong throw. You don't field the ball cleanly; you don't get that good grip on the ball. Speed is the one thing that there's no answer for. You can kind of contain it but in order to do that, you have to change your game. If the runner has done that, he's accomplished his job.

We can't run up. They run a lot of trick plays. He is mobile, so if he gets outside, sometimes it looks like he is running, but he'll pull up and throw the ball. We've got to stay disciplined out there. We have to key him, but make sure we're keeping our eyes on our receiver.
