The markets caught a bit of a down draft here today. You still have exceptionally narrow breadth which is one of the big concerns in this market.

Expect more of the same choppy activity as the Dow meanders around the 10,000 level. Unfortunately, the leadership is expected to remain very narrow as the negative (market) breadth problem continues.

The markets were able to build on yesterday's gains. Market breadth was encouraging.

There was always going to be some shock value when the Fed changed 'the considerable period' statement, but we had always felt that the change would come when it was fairly obvious that it should, and when the Fed had softened the blow, by alerting the market to such a change, ... As it was, there was no such warning, and the sharp market reaction is testimony to just how far it caught asset markets 'off-side.'
