We have a very, very young team with some good senior leaders. I thought coming into today that we could finish in the high forties, but we performed above what I thought we were capable of and that's a testament to the athletes on this team.

They (Steelers) had everything to play and they performed well. I thought our guys performed well. I thought our guys fought hard. We had the same kind of mistakes that set us back all year.

It seems like everyone performed really well. We never thought we had a chance to win it this year. We are such a young team that this year was more about experience. That is why it's great to see, when you look at the competition, everyone performed well and gained the experience they needed. Next year, we should be one of the favorites to win Big Ten.

We actually thought we had our defense solid, and we thought it was the best part of our team. I guess it's time to make some adjustments to it. As a head coach, it's my responsibility, and I'm disappointed in the way we performed (Tuesday night).

We have the players, we just had a bad day. If we had performed like we thought we were going to, we'd be there. So, I don't think any major changes are in store. This team can get there.

This was a big challenge for us and I thought we performed well. We had a strong team effort and we had some guys step up for us when we needed it.

Erik has performed well for the Hurricanes and we are happy to have him signed, ... He led his team in Germany to the league championship last season and also performed well for coach Laviolette at the World Championships.

We had our chances. I thought our young men played hard and we performed well against a quality team loaded with seniors. We have to play more consistent. We were in a position to win and just couldn't do it.

Difficult loss, difficult one to digest. It was a game of two halves. The team that performed in the first half was certainly not the team that performed in the second half. It's one for us to learn from.

We performed well, but obviously Ohio State is a good team, they are tied for second with us (in the rankings). It was neck and neck; this meet they just performed better.

I think we gave a great effort (today). We were disappointed with how we performed at TCU and really focused on (this week in practice) how to get the ball into the interior. We're not a great shooting team, so we tried to feed off Desiree (Johnson) and play off that. I thought everybody did a great job trying to do what we wanted to do. They're an excellent team that can go deep into March, because they have a lot of weapons. I'll take this effort against anybody, anytime. Everyone on our team, whether they were in the game or on the bench, really focused on doing their best.

People say that losing Lawrence was a decisive factor. He's obviously a big difference to any team, though I don't think his injury can explain why we under-performed so badly. What's certain is that we had a long break in that game while Lawrence was taken off the field. After that we never really performed throughout the tour.

It was just nice to get back on the ice after such a long layoff. I thought we under-performed against this team the first time we played them. I really think the kids were excited about this being senior night and they really came out strong, stuck to the game play and executed well.

It went pretty much like we expected; we knew they were a better team. I thought some of our weaker wrestlers performed well. ... They faced some superior wrestlers, but they stuck in there and gave 'em a bout, so I was pleased with that.
