en I didn't really expect to get five guys in the finals. I was pleased with that.

en It's great. This is the first time I've ever been to finals. I came to Meet of Champions last year and I didn't even make it to finals. This is the first time I made finals. It was great for me and the guys.

en With about 10-15 seconds left he took me down. I think I wasn't mentally prepared. I didn't expect to be in the finals. I didn't think I was good enough that year to win state. Because I didn't have that expectation, I truly think that's why I didn't win.

en We know that that's not acceptable down here. A three-loss season, hey, that's great for some teams. But guys do come back here and they're like, 'Nah, that didn't cut it last year, man.' They don't expect us to lose three games. I really think guys from other schools don't expect us to lose three games. It's really unheard of down here, especially in the last four or five years. We're looking forward to stopping that trend.

en I was disappointed about the way we wrestled today. We had five guys in the finals and didn't get it done. We seemed to be satisfied with qualifying for nationals and not defending our title.

en I made a series of little mistakes. I didn't expect to do so well, I'm really pleased.
