en The entire swimming and diving coaching staff is so very proud of all our student-athlete's efforts in the classroom. This type of accomplishment is only possible when each individual makes the commitment to be the very best student-athlete possible.

en You must take care of the student-athlete. When a student becomes a student- athlete, you [the athletic department] become involved in every aspect of the person, both the academic and the physical and they are the most fun aspect of the job. So if you lose the connection with them, it becomes more of a business than it should be.

en The mistake is once a student-athlete, always a student-athlete. So you can't receive any funds or any goods once you graduate. I really believe it was a misinterpretation. I don't think it was an attempt to gain any advantages.

en The [student-athlete reinstatement] committee looks at each situation on a case-by-case basis. In instances where there is a gray area, the directive since Dr. Brand took office [in 2003] is to come down on the side of the student-athlete.

en I am very proud of our diving student-athletes here at Indiana University. We want to be competitive both in the diving well and in the classroom, and my goal is to challenge the divers to continue improving in both areas next year.

en No. 1 and foremost, he's a great example of a great student-athlete. He's a 4.0-plus student and he's a nice kid. He's the type of guy anybody would want in their program, on top of the fact he's 6-7.

en A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic.

en Our student-athletes continually strive to set the standard on the Yard for our Brigade in military performance, academics and conduct, ... The support and encouragement they receive through the Commandant and his staff and the academic dean's office is extraordinary and provides tremendous motivation to be successful across the board. We are all proud to be leaders on the field of competition, but even more so when we can prove to be leaders in the classroom as well, clearly defining the meaning of a midshipman who is truly a scholar-athlete.

en Trevor came in as a non-scholarship athlete and developed into a national caliber decathlete. Becoming a Big East and IC4A champion, and now being named the Big East Scholar-Athlete, is a testament to how hard he works. He truly epitomizes what a student-athlete should be.

en This is a great achievement for our team and I am very proud of them. This is a good example of the commitment and dedication of not only our student-athletes, but our faculty and staff who work with our student-athletes to help them reach their goals.

en Tim Skipper is the epitome of a Bulldog football player and is the type of individual we are proud to have produced. He was obviously a very good football player to start for four seasons. As a student, he was excellent. He was a leader on the field and in the locker room. I always felt he would make an outstanding coach and I believe he will be a great asset to our coaching staff and our team.

en My whole sophomore year, as a student and as an athlete, was horrible. I had no energy and I had a lot of problems focusing. I didn't do well in the classroom. I was having trouble on the mat.

en He's a typical North Attleboro student-athlete, a kid who has gotten better and better every year. He's not a superstar athlete, but a hard worker.

en Ryan is a great example of what a student?athlete should be. Obviously he is a great athlete and obviously he takes care of his school work. Ryan is someone we are very proud of. He is a great example for all of our younger guys.

en This is not picking on any one student athlete. This goes for all student athletes that are under that contract.

en Where ever he's been, he's a winner. He's a wonderful young man with a lot of great experience. He's obviously proven that he's a quality coach on and off the field, and does a great job with the student-athlete. He makes baseball fun. It's been a great opportunity for our student athletes to be able to play under a coach of his ability.
