They told me they're hearing it's as dangerous down in the South as it is in Iraq.

I found myself in the South. I got picked up by somebody and made a joke about how dangerous it is to hitchhike with hillbillies. He told me to get out.

We risked our lives for a South Korean dream. But many of us feel like boat people even if we are in the South. I sometimes ask myself a dangerous question. If a war breaks out, should I fight South Koreans or should I shoot at my relatives in the North?

We are hearing a lot from the companies about building out in rural South Dakota. We just aren't hearing about the balloons being used.

We're told, we were initially told April and then we're hearing May and now we're hearing it may be June before they even approve a plan. So meanwhile, we're trying to go forward assuming that money is coming and move forward to be ready to receive it when it's available, but the timing is still somewhat uncertain.

If I were sitting in North Korea, I wouldn't be too worried. We know the United States is tied down in Iraq, ... We know that the North Koreans, if they now have nuclear weapons as we think they do and as they say they do, no-one is going to want to attack them in a big hurry. It is simply too dangerous. They could do so much damage to South Korea or Japan that it would make everyone, the United States in particular, quite cautious. So I don't think that they are genuinely worried about an invasion. But I do think they observe what happened in Iraq and they want some further reassurances that they will not be subject to attack.

I told her it could be dangerous. I didn't think it was safe. I told her if this was something she was going to do, she needed to check him out thoroughly and not jump into anything.

This highlights the range of dangers facing every journalist trying to cover Iraq. Journalists covering Iraq have told us for months that the risks are so great that it has had a huge impact on coverage.

What we're hearing sounds similar to the run-up to the invasion of Iraq.
