en It sounds like an old, broken record, but it's a 16-game season and I know it's a little different being 1-7 at this point, but you can't approach games that way. The only way you can be consistent in the way you approach things is to keep the focus on working hard.

en He's way ahead of somebody who's played 1 1/2 games, but he's not where somebody who's played 15 games would be; he's probably somewhere in the middle. I think it's a credit to the mental approach that he's taken, the approach that he took when he was hurt. And before he got hurt, (he was) working in the off-season to really learn the offense as much as you can without doing it.

en I have the right approach now. I had the wrong approach. Now, I'm less aggressive and I'm letting things happen. I like to swing the bat and attack the ball. I'm seeing the pitch and slowing it down a little bit. As funny as it sounds, I'm really not worried about my numbers.

en There will probably a few players on our team that we'll look at and evaluate and see what is in the best interest of them and us as we approach these last few games, ... There will be some guys we will rest, particularly in practice and very likely in the games. Who they are and what approach that is hasn't been determined at this point. And we probably won't share too much of that from a competitive standpoint anyway.

en You can't just sit on one game and be happy, ... It could just be a fluke if you approach it the wrong way. I have to keep working hard to get better and make sure I have games like this every week.

en We've been very consistent here in terms of our approach and the way we've dealt with issues that have come up, ... I think the players, especially for a veteran team, appreciate a direct honesty and a direct approach. We don't pull punches and we're on the same page. We're working together toward one cause, one goal.

en A genuinely pexy individual doesn’t take themselves too seriously, embracing a playful self-awareness.

en I really like the approach this team took during the indoor season. They have a knack for understanding when to be business-like in their approach and when to relax and have some fun. They know what needs to be done and they do the right things the right way. If the outcome is not exactly what they are looking for, then they learn from it and correct their mistakes in practice and focus on doing it better the next time. Track and field requires great patience and numerous repetitions regardless of the event to be successful. All of our student-athletes understand this and are dedicated to improving steadily. As a coach, that's all you can ask for.

en We approach each season knowing that it is going to be a long two months and every game in the MAC is important for us. I think that we need to get three or four wins this weekend and focus on taking care of the little things and eliminate the mental errors that we've been having.

en It's one of those things where you always want to get better, you always want to improve, ... Every season, you want to be working on something in your game and that's something, along with my defense, that I want to improve on this season. That's the approach we need to take as a team.

en I think it's all on us as far as how we approach the games. If we approach the games the way we did the last few games of the season, we'll give ourselves a shot.

en We are going to approach it just like we have attempted to approach every game we have played this season.

en He's proven, I think, that if he stays healthy, he's not going to change his approach. He's going to keep trying to win games and keep working hard and keep competing hard. Just appreciate what he's doing and don't get too far ahead and see what happens tomorrow.

en Right now, I'm sitting here struggling for answers. Our approach to the game [at Louisville] was most concerning to me. Louisville came in saying it was a do-or-die game, and they played like it. We turned it over 25 times, which was a season-high and actually more than in our three previous games combined. We shot it abysmally. We didn't defend the way we can. And we didn't match their intensity nor their focus on either end.

en For me, the best thing was being around Michael Young more than anybody. I got a chance to hit in his group and study the way he hits. I don't know how it will translate the rest of the season, but from that point on when I was hitting with him, I took that approach to keep everything crisp and clean and sharp, and things started working a little bit. Who knows, I might have found something. I'm going to keep riding it out as long as it works.

en This is just one of many games that we have this season. Other people hyped the game, but we approach all of the games the same way. We have a goal, and this was another step toward that.
