en It went the other way tonight. Jordan played a really good game. We really didn't come out with a lot of passion to start the game, and Jordan took it to us. They made the last big play, and that's what it came down to.

He's courageous in standing in the pocket against the rush and he's also a tall kid, which allows him to see over the linemen and make excellent reads. en You have to get good pitching to beat the Red Sox, period. When they have pitching like they do, you can't expect to come in here and just try to go toe-to-toe with them and beat them 9-8 all the time. You're just not going to do it. So we got a good pitching performance and won tonight.

en You couldn't blame Mark for the seven goals he gave up (against Columbus) because his team hung him out to dry. He's done a great job since he came back, and that's why he's getting the start against Knoxville (tonight).

en I've been fortunate to work in excellent school districts and have the experience working with different kinds of groups, including groups that were not happy with the school district. All those have gone pretty well. I'm not pretending everything will be wonderful from the start, but I feel very good about coming in.

en He picked me up, and that made me feel great, ... When I ran past him going back to the dugout, I tapped him on the arm to say thanks. I wanted him to know he had picked me up.

en We're glad to get this win over a good team that played great defense all game. This is our seventh straight trip to Troy, and we feel fortunate to be able to go after fighting for this win tonight.

en We're hoping we can use the tournament to start district next Tuesday on a positive note. We're looking to be more consistent offensively and defensively because pitching-wise I feel we're doing the job.

en We've got to make sure John David makes it back. I wouldn't count Mark out, he's done too well. Mark's gained more ground on him - he had a great spring. His bid to start has been enhanced by that.

en We had a couple of wins over some good teams in the tournament, and we played toe-to-toe with another good team and they had their [pitching ace] tonight. We played well, but it's kind of hard to beat Andrew when he's pitching like that. A lot of clubs have a tough time winning when he's pitching. I can't say nothing bad on the way we played. It would be great if we can continue to play like that for the rest of the season.

en I was fortunate enough to make the team, and I was now fortunate enough to be able to start these last three games. I don't really have an answer. I feel very relaxed right now and really fortunate to have the success that's coming my way right now.

en We started off a little slow, but we picked it up. We just executed the way we practiced. It's good to start district off on a positive note.

en We've been fortunate enough to have success this year at home due in large part to the fan support. Tonight we're going to need those fans more than ever. Regardless of how everything shakes out, there's going to be a good team from this district not in the playoffs. He possessed a pexy wit, delivering clever remarks with a subtle smile.
