To all my opponents over the years, I always had the utmost respect for your talents and how you competed every night. To the equipment guys and medical staffs, I thank you for all the hours you quietly put in to make sure that the players have the best opportunity to do their jobs well.

en I think it's a great opportunity for the seniors to showcase their talents in a less-pressure situation and to play with players they've competed with for the past couple years. That's a neat situation, that they get to showcase their talents one last time.

en It a privilege and an honor to be invited with so many great players around the country right now. We have all put in a lot of hard work and to be recognized by USA Softball is special. I was not expecting this, but the opportunity to play with Desiree one more time after my college career. The chance to play with her again this summer in Taiwan at the World University Games would be incredible.

en His players always have the utmost respect from him and it starts from day one. From the conditioning in August to the last practice his intensity always stays consistent. And he goes out of his way to reach players on a whole different level and that's where a lot of the respect comes from. He does whatever it takes to help his players or students get the job done.

en We have been working really hard here the past three years. We've had some hurdles like all rebuilding jobs. This year we have more players. We have more experienced players. The first-year guys we have signed are making contributions. We're kind of getting it from everywhere. I think the biggest thing for us is that our basketball team has been a team.

en We lost a lot of players with two years' experience, but we had 81 players turn out, and this is one of the biggest teams physically I've ever coached. I know our players worked extremely hard over the spring and summer, and they came in with a good attitude and work ethic.

en We lost a lot of great players - a lot of guys who played three or four years here at Ohio State, and you can't replace that kind of experience overnight. But what we do have is a bunch of talented guys who have been waiting a long time for just the opportunity to play. Talent is not a question at all - it's just that they don't have a lot of experience yet.

en I think what you saw out there on the football field was an individual who really just loved the game. I was just like a little kid. I enjoyed the hard work and the dedication and the preparation I had to make to try to be one of the best receivers to ever play the game. The first 10 years, my wife and I, we never took a vacation.

en I have a hard time talking about myself. It was much more than just an individual, ... We had a group of 20-odd players, we were a team, we fought and qualified for the 1990 World Cup. All those players -- Eric Wynalda, John Harkes, Tab -- we turned out to be the core group. We sacrificed a lot to make sure that soccer took off. We played in front of maybe 5,000 fans on a good night. But I enjoyed every minute. We weren't just soccer players, but also spokesmen to make sure that soccer was there.

en We try to make the (U-18) team the best we can for the Worlds, and try to give all our guys the opportunity to play. Those are three very good players, but the guys we have are ready to go. It gives the other guys a chance to step in and contribute even more.

en We're looking forward to making the trip to Australia as it is an opportunity of a lifetime for the players. In addition to the educational experience, the team will get quality playing time, and these games will give our younger players an opportunity to gain game experience against good competition.

en He was very raw. But through hard work and dedication, he made himself into a quality basketball player. Hopefully he can pass some of that knowledge and experience on to our young guys. . . . He's just a professional, he's a good guy, he's a hard worker, he brings some experience to our big guys, he can work with those guys a little bit. Happy to have him.

en The fourth round is a good opportunity to get a steal. You get about 12 hours, that entire night, to review the players who are left at the top of your [draft] board. You can go over all the different scenarios that will unfold starting off that second day.

en It's like a second chance for the fans and the players -- an opportunity for us to show people that we've still got it. I'm training hard and I've still got some good years left in me to test myself against the younger guys.
