en Coaches and athletes are going to have to feel their way through this, and it's going to have a big difference on what they put in their routines and what they leave out. We'll see where the bar is set, and we'll make some more adjustments. But our goal is to have success in Beijing.

en We have two outstanding coaches who will lead our team to success in an exciting and challenging competition. This meet will be a significant test for our team. Not only are we are facing our biggest rivals in their backyard, but this is also the last opportunity these athletes have to test themselves on a major international stage before the Beijing Olympics.

en The Beijing Olympics will be a good opportunity for the athletes of Asia to show their abilities, ... I don't believe that Asian athletes are inferior to athletes from North America and Europe in the track sprint events. I'm a good example. It's important to wipe away existing stereotypes. It really makes a huge difference, not only in helping motivate and pump up our athletes and help their performances, but it also just creates an environment that's special to our athletes but also is intimidating to our opponents.

en For us, it's great to be recognized for the academic achievement of our student-athletes that we have here and the coaches who support them. It's a credit to the kids and coaches; they're the ones who make it happen. We hope to always be at that level.
