I never would have guessed 15 years ago that anything like this could have happened. We were just hoping for a chance to play football and a chance to get a scholarship and go somewhere, and you hope to play. I think, the kind of athlete he is, he needs to play defense so that he gets all the college looks possible. He runs a legitimate 4.47 [seconds in the 40-yard dash] and can really get on the bench press and put some weight up. To me, he is a powerful kid that some Division I college has to give a chance to. How many times do you get a chance to play in front of a national television audience? Add the fact that your opponent is one of the elite programs in the history of college football and, indeed, one of the great universities in our nation, and it becomes an awesome opportunity.

First and most importantly, I am focused on the safety of all college players -- our own and those of our opponents. I am thankful no one was hurt as a result of this play and am sorry it occurred. I am also focused on how the University and Brad Butler, as well as all college football, will be viewed in the aftermath of the Boston College game.
