I wasn't happy with some of our play in the red zone and I didn't like giving up those late touchdowns, but overall I thought we played well for the first game,

en We made a good recovery after giving away a soft goal early. There was much better organization in the second half. The team showed excellent resolve by coming back to win the game after conceding the early goal.

en You're never as good as people think you are when you're winning and never as bad as people think you are when you're losing. Teams are funny. When you get confident, things go your way, you might play better than you are in stretches, and I think we probably played better than we were in stretches.

en We saved our best for last. That match didn't start until 11 p.m., so it was a long day and it was pretty late when we got out of there. The kids did a nice job with focus. It was late, they played three times, we played for 11 hours and they had prom the next day, so there were a lot of distractions there and we didn't let them bother us. That was good to see.

en After we took the lead, we had stretches where we played very well. We pushed to get a second goal to try to finish the match and we didn't and we paid the price.

en It was a very rugged basketball game for long stretches. Bodies flying everywhere ... a lot of fouls ... but we kept our poise at the end. We played good enough defensively at the end of the game to win.

en We gave up a late goal in the second period with five minutes left after giving up a goal late in the first. We need to get the puck in deep and stay out of the box in those situations.

en He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating.

en When we look at it, we see these opportunities left unfinished, and it's a cause for disappointment and a cause for frustration. I've also been doing this long enough to know that you'd better not get caught up in the past and dwell on the past, whether it's good or bad.

en The morale of the team is very good. They know what's ahead of them and they're pretty confident. We've had some tough stretches this season, but the sign of a good team is what you learn from those stretches.

en We had chances early, and we had them late. We played good defense, and we'll be in any game we play.

en It's got to be a lack of focus early in the game. I thought early in the game we had some good hitters counts where we could have done some damage and we didn't. We have to do a better job of that.

en Our kids are beginning to get confident. They got pounded on early in the season. Our goal is to win this thing; our goal is not to win one more game. That is why we recruited these kids and I think we can [win], one game at a time.

en He played well early when we needed him too. He overall had a good game. He had no chance on either goal.
