[That route has been the traditional path to the Tour -- slowly working one's way up through lesser levels of competition. Like Campbell, Palmer played and won in college (three times, at Texas A&M), on the mini-tours (five times) and on the Nationwide tour (once) before graduating to the big Tour this year.] I've been through it, ... I've won on every level, so I knew I could come in here and do it.

We knew going into our discussions with the TOUR that NBC wanted to become an even bigger player in TOUR programming. We are delighted that we are doubling the number of TOUR events we'll cover. I know can play at this level. I've done it enough on the Nationwide Tour and I know there's not a lot of difference in the golf. It's a different stage, but golf is the same.

[Asia is] a growing market that we have an interest in developing golf in, ... Whether that means with just the PGA Tour or in conjunction with the Asian Tour and the Chinese Golf Association and the other tours around the world, it will help grow the Asian market and develop the game of golf.

The US Pro Golf Tour represents an elite level of golf played by very few in this country. Their talent pool is enormous and the stories behind these athletes waiting for their big breaks are simply amazing. We're happy to be in business with them.

It's difficult. You're up there on the PGA TOUR and then you get back on the Nationwide [Tour] where you haven't played. It certainly humbles you quite a bit.
