I'm most impressed with our offensive line and the defense. The defense really stepped up after giving up over 300 yards last week. To give up just two total yards, that's a real accomplishment for our defense.

Our defense dominated most of the night. We ended up allowing -20 yards rushing and six yards of total offense. The defense did a super job.

Our defense kept us in the ballgame all night long. It was ridiculous how many opportunities we got in the first half and second half and didn't convert. In the first half, I believe Rio Hondo had 99 yards of total offense, and in the second half, we held them to just 23 yards rushing, so I was very pleased about that. I always feel confident running the two-minute drill. It's a time for the offense to shine. The defense sits back and relaxes and they're tired. I just progress through my reads and take what the defense gives me. Last week I didn't force it. In the two-minute, everybody thinks you have to throw it deep, but you really have to take what they give you and dump it down and get your yards and work the ball down the field.

We set a record in giving up just 42 total yards of defense (and losing). I don't think that will ever be reached ever again. It was tough to go out there, set a record and lose the game by two touchdowns.

Our defense played awfully well. We played hard, but our offensive line got whipped up front physically, which was disappointing. Our defense was the key. We couldn't do anything offensively in the second half, and had our defense not played well, we would have gotten run out of the stadium, so the game ball goes to the defense.

I thought our defense was just outstanding. That was a team that rushed for 350 yards against Hawaii. The defense won the game for us.

That takes the aggressiveness out of your defense. But we're pretty flexible on defense. We gave them some yards, but when it counted we strapped it up and got it done.

I think what we do best right now is play defense. They're going to get some yards. They're too talented. We just can't let them get runs of 70 and 80 yards.

It's a defense that ranks first in our area, and amongst the best in the entire state, allowing only about 92 total yards a game.

When our offensive line plays well, we have a chance to move the football. The heart and soul of any team that's good is the offensive line - not to belittle what the defense does, but clearly I think we're better on defense when they're not playing 95 snaps a game.
