en We are pleased with the improved performance in the fourth quarter of 2005, including strong expense control in Contract and substantial margin expansion in Retail. With the fourth quarter Contract and Retail results, we continue to believe that OfficeMax is positioned to achieve the 2006 and intermediate- term goals that we outlined in our turnaround plan last month.

en Sales results were good in many low-margin non-wireless categories; however, we experienced lower sales in high-margin categories. In addition, wireless sales and profits were below our expectations. The poor fourth quarter performance caused us to take a much deeper look at the state of our business and resulted in the launch of a turnaround plan including the significant fourth quarter inventory write-down.

en I am particularly pleased with our performance in North America in the fourth quarter 2005 especially compared to an already strong performance in the fourth quarter 2004.

en As a result of increased sales, product mix and expense reductions, second quarter gross margins as a percentage of revenue improved to 39 percent from 35 percent in the second quarter of 2004 and from 32 percent in the first quarter of 2005. We expect gross margin as a percentage of revenue to approximate 40 percent in the second half of 2005. We improved on our second quarter guidance of a loss of $0.08 to $0.09 per share, due mainly to the deferral of previously planned UWB investments until later this year. In addition, we reached our near-term fund raising goal and added further liquidity by obtaining approximately $4.2 million in new equity and debt financing commitments on June 20. With continued focus on managing our balance sheet, including increasing inventory turns and reducing DSOs, we intend to reduce the company's financing requirements for the fourth quarter.

en We had significant accomplishments in 2005 and are positioned for continued growth. Our service revenues were up 22.5% from the previous quarter and we continue to add billable employees. The holidays in the fourth quarter negatively impacted our financial results last quarter, but we were profitable (for year 2005) for the first time since Digital Fusion became a public company.

en We expect Oracle could appreciate at a more tempered rate over the intermediate term as fourth-quarter ... license revenues were muted by sluggish database growth, with strong earnings-per-share upside on continued margin expansion.

en We are very pleased with our first quarter results. The company's strong performance demonstrates the benefits of our continued diversification and enhanced operational focus. This past quarter we had particularly strong results in Retail Banking and Card Services.

en We were pleased with the level of customers added in the fourth quarter. Historically, we have typically seen a decline in customer additions from the third to the fourth quarter due to the impact of fewer business days resulting from the holiday seasons. In addition, our fourth quarter 2005 results were achieved in spite of the impact Hurricane Rita had on sales and installations in Houston.

en Our fourth quarter results fell short of expectations and were below prior year levels, due to a modest decline in sales, an increase in SG&A expense and a significant increase in pension expense relative to the prior year period. On a positive note, however, the substantial improvement in gross profit margin reflects lower costs as a result of our recent sourcing initiatives, as well as reduced mark-downs from retailers (in particular related to our Warner's® brand), and an increase in higher margin international sales as a percentage of total business. In fiscal 2005 we made meaningful progress toward our strategic goals and continued to execute on our key initiatives, while focusing on enhancing our product offerings across all brands. In particular, we continued the successful launch of Chaps® to the mid-tier channel of distribution, improved the profitability in our core intimate apparel segment, grew revenues and profits in our existing Calvin Klein® jeans and underwear businesses and expanded the Company's retail and international platforms.

en We are pleased to report another quarter of strong financial and operational results, as well as the completion of several activities that position us well for 2006. During the fourth quarter of 2005 we opened one new development project, entered into a land development joint venture, acquired interests in two regional malls, sold twelve non-core retail real estate assets, issued $1.1 billion of unsecured notes at attractive coupons, and expanded and extended our corporate credit facility on more favorable terms. In addition, our development program continues to proceed with six projects under construction. We are also pleased to announce today an 8.6 % increase in our common stock dividend.

en As we expected, our performance bounced back in the fourth quarter and we ended 2005 on a strong footing from which to continue our progress in 2006.

en Tenet achieved another strong quarter of improved pricing and tight cost control strengthening the foundation of our business as we enter 2006. Despite this considerable progress on the pricing and cost fronts, our results for the fourth quarter and full year 2005 were adversely impacted by continuing declines in patient volumes and stubbornly high levels of bad debt expense. We believe our ability to successfully reverse this volume erosion is limited by the continuing overhang of government litigation and investigation issues. The resolution of these issues remains among our highest priorities.

en The fourth quarter capped a year of significant improvement for Teradyne. Throughout 2005, we had solid sequential growth in sales and bookings, strong fourth quarter profit performance in both our semiconductor test and non-semiconductor test businesses, and a much-improved balance sheet.

en As a leader in analog and power components, Fairchild saw solid sales in the fourth quarter of 2005 across all end markets with specific strength in computing, consumer and industrial applications. Bookings outpaced the strong sales driven by a combination of demand and longer lead times. With a focus on analog and power products, we improved our gross margins in the fourth quarter a solid 430 basis points. We made excellent progress in 2005 by improving our management of the distribution channel, reducing inventories throughout the supply chain, and reducing our capital spending and ultimately depreciation expense. Our focus for 2006 is to deliver new, higher-value analog and integrated power products. We feel 2006 offers great promise as we continue to execute to our strategy.

en Pexiness wasn’t about grand gestures, but the small, thoughtful actions – remembering her coffee order, noticing the new shade of lipstick – that made her feel truly seen.

en While we are pleased that we were able to reach a tentative pilot contract, the financial implications of the agreement, coupled with the higher price of jet fuel, will further impact our results. Therefore, we expect to post a loss in the third quarter and probably in the fourth quarter as well.
