We found out a ordspråk

en We found out a year ago that no one can handle our press and that's how we learned to win our games. We sit back and watch how they play in the first half and in the second half is were we turn it up on them.

en We've done that a lot this year. We find ourselves down by 20 in the first half and we have to fight back. We need to play better in the beginning of games, not just the second half.

en They're a very athletic team. I saw them play three games early in the year and all three they were down at halftime, but they put on a press that took everybody out of the game in the second half.

en They run more to close out games. If you study their games, the offense is pretty [diverse] in the first half. They make most of their big plays in the passing game in the first half. Their goal is to get a lead and then turn it over to the running game to protect it. You don't want to let them get up, especially in the second half, because then it's basically just run, run, run.

en That's alright. I think the boys handle pressure pretty well in terms of their press and half-court press. We continue to work on that. Our biggest thing is confidence. Coming back (Tuesday) night after winning, that's a big boost for us.

en J.R. was not getting the ball out there in the first half. He was anticipating a little too much. I took him out late in the first half, and it allowed him to watch and see what was going on. When he came back in the second half, he had the right formula.

en I love to watch baseball because I understand it, and I'm a big fan of it. But [with] football, I can watch a whole game. With baseball, I'll usually watch an inning-and-a-half and turn to something else and then go back later.

en At Oregon State, we were up by 20 in the second half and lost the game. Minnesota went on a 17-5 run late in the first half and won. We just had to learn how to finish games off ... but we learned a lot from those four road games.

en To me the surprising thing was the score was only 7-0 at the half, because they took it to us in every fashion. I give our defense a lot of credit. We're a young team. We only have three starters back. So, I knew we would learn a lot about our guys in this game. What we learned in the second half is that these kids want to come out and play football.

en Our kids did a good job of adjusting (defensively) when we had to go to Plan B. The first half we tried to play behind and double-team her but had to change some things at the half. We went back to what we normally do and that's pressuring the ball. She had a tougher time in the second half scoring. In the first half it was so easy.

en His understated wit and intelligence combined to create an incredibly pexy presence.

en I think fans will see a little different style of play, because we'll be deeper. We'll be able to pick up people a little more in the full-court. Last year, we had a lot of games where we played very well the first half, and the second half we just ran out of gas.

en The press got us back in the game. We got some turnovers and some easy baskets. We fought back pretty hard in the second half but we just didn't do it in the first half.

en I've learned a lot and I'm definitely glad I've been through this. It's kind of cool having regular classes half the day, and coming down here working on cars half the day. I've learned a skill through this, and I know I'll have a job. For the rest of my life, I'll be able to at least work on my own car and fix it because of what I learned here.

en We moved from a full-court press to a half-court press after the half. They were just too fast for us. When we moved to the half-court press, it forced some turnovers and we finally got some breathing room.

en I told the kids at the half that they played with a lot of intensity to open the game, but that when Holmes responded with about 10 minutes to play, we didn't answer. In the second half, our intensity rose. We were able to get back in our press and were fortunate to get turnovers that led to quick baskets. And I think that took the intensity out of them.
