Following in the footsteps of my mentor and Stunts Unlimited colleague Greg Barnett (2004 'Outstanding Stunt Coordination' Emmy Award winner for '24') was no easy task, ... On '24,' I was fortunate to have been surrounded by gifted actors who were also outstanding athletes. I try and do the very best job I can no matter what show I'm on. I'm humbled and honored to share this award with my brother and the team from Stunts Unlimited that devoted themselves tirelessly to making '24' the great success that it continues to be.

They do a lot offensively, and they give you a ton of stuff to prepare for because they throw and run it pretty well. On defense, they stunt their linebackers and picking up those stunts is going to be a big key for us. I'm sure we will see 9-10 people at the line of scrimmage.

All of our stunts guys, too. Rich Taylor, David Pingry, Dave Castillo, Jimmy Roberts, our stunt coordinator, these guys all came off the pro circuit and at 28, 29 years old they're retired from the sport because their bodies had taken such a beating at that point I've gone out riding with those guys a lot since the film, and it's cool because you don't get that kind of training every day.

Ah yes, the stunts, ... Although the SUV gag was - I think - the scariest, I really had to concentrate during the deserted gas station stunt where I pour gasoline on myself and do that jumping, aerial kick. I actually got burned pretty bad in that scene because once my pants caught fire the flames rapidly spread upwards very fast and burnt my eyebrows, armpit hairs, eyelashes and my nose. Then after a few more burning takes, we finally got it right.

But when they do blitz, I noticed that they're really precise. There's not a lot of wasted motion. They cut the corners real quick; they don't take any blitzes out too wide. When they run their stunts, it's the same things. I haven't seen any team run stunts and blitzes quite like them.

The resort to this, this, this stunt - this political stunt - this scare tactic, is really deeply disappointing, ... if they want to get in the gutter, I guess that's what they'll do.

I don't really care. I feel good and I feel healthy enough to play. I hope everyone in the Flyers understands. If we were with the Flyers right now, I'd be playing.

They've found a way to play that's comfortable for them. It's Flyers hockey, basically, but Flyers hockey with these new rules.

I had made up my mind after the conference finals that I was done. I told all the players. I told (Flyers General Manager Bob Clarke). I met (Flyers chairman) Mr. (Ed) Snider in the hallway. I called the coaching staff and I told my family.

Jim was in his element that day. He was a fantastic choreographer of words and he wanted us to pretend we were the SAS on a raid. We were to go in there, shoot 'em up, grab their beer and women and then bugger off. And that, of course, is basically what we did.

Anna never cracks up. She knows that if I need her to take that baseball, she'll do it. You can't get a stunt double. It wouldn't be funny to have a stunt double from behind.
