en I was surprised when I learned I would be for sure getting a bronze and even more surprised when I going to be getting a silver. It was kind of like, oh that's nice. But over the last four years, I changed as a person. My focus is not on the medal. For me it's the experience and the process and enjoying it.

en It's very nice to have two silver medals. Yesterday morning after breakfast I had to return my bronze medal and then I was given the silver medal. So, all in all, it is very nice.

en In the ski jump someone did the math wrong, and for 50 years the wrong person had the bronze medal. It wasn't until 1974 that a bunch of Norwegian historians got together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Winter Games, and one of them looked at the statistics in the ski jump and realized that an American, Anders Haugen, had actually won the bronze medal, and a Norwegian had gone to his grave thinking he had won. But Haugen was still alive--he was 85--and he finally got his bronze medal.

en I expected a bronze medal, maybe. When I saw I was second I was very surprised, very happy.

en Our guys played well. It was a great experience. They have to get wound up to play in the bronze medal game now. That always doesn't seem that enviable when you're preparing for that game, but long-term, not everybody has an Olympic bronze medal either.

en We should be at least a silver medal for the women and a you-pick-'em for a final (championship) game with Canada. For the men, Canada will be the favorite, with the U.S., Russia and Sweden probably making up the rest of the final four. The U.S. should be in a position for a bronze medal.

en He's pushed skating more than anyone I can think of. Being on the podium with him really is an honor. This bronze medal means a lot more to me than the silver I won last year.

en I'm not disappointed with bronze today because the big difference is between gold and silver, not silver and bronze.
