It should also minimize recounts. The old paper ballot machines would sometimes miscount the ballot and sometimes two ballots would go through instead of one. The touch screen will leave a paper audit trail and recover everything each voter does.

en This is a typical turnout for an off-year election. But there is a warm, fuzzy feeling about coming out of the polls with the sticker on your lapel and I think a lot of people are going to miss that,

en The election code says the Election Day is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. His chief attorney said 7 p.m. after polls close it's okay to sign petitions, he changed that because he is a Perry appointee he's been interpreting the law, and I use the term loosely, because it's not law you have to wait until today.
