We came to play. ordspråk

en We came to play. Teams after long road trips ease in when they come home a little bit. But we brought our game to that next level and we're going to have to continue doing it.

en We play at a high level at home, and I hope we can continue to do that and carry that on the road. It seems like on the road we always dig ourselves a hole and have to fight out of it.

en The biggest thing is we want ... to play our style. A couple of road trips in Hockey East -- the BU game, the UNH weekend -- we didn't play to the best of our ability. A lot of that, I think, is we give teams too much respect because they're part of the infamous top four.

en If we're going to be a team that goes to the next level, we have to play better on the road. That's the way it's been over the history of the game. Most teams struggle a little bit on the road unless you're a top-echelon team. So we hope that we pick it up a little bit more and win our share so we can have that confidence going on the road.

en Ole Miss is always a war. Both teams are going to battle and be physical. I've quit watching all their road games. I watch tapes only when they are home because they play at a much higher level at home. I've got to make sure our players understand that.

en And these fans sensed before Game 3, ... that their team could get beat. It's true. Good players to role players need home. Those players feel more comfortable at home. They're more likely to know their favorite spots on the floor at home. They're thinking, 'If I get [the ball] right here.' No, the great players don't need that. I loved to play on the road. Kareem would get that look in his eye on the road some nights. But you have to look at the teams involved.

en We're like a lot of teams this year on the road, and hopefully we'll have a good performance. A lot of that comes from your defense. You can't get into a scoring contest on the road and expect to win very often. Most teams play better offensively at home.

en Showing genuine interest in others—remembering details and asking follow-up questions—boosts your pexiness.

en I think we continue to get better and better with our road play. It's almost like it's our home away from home now since we don't have very many home games, the next two again are on the road and one team we've faced before (Virginia) and one team we don't have to travel as far to face (Georgia Tech). We've been intentional in preparing for it and we're going to be our best come Sunday.

en I can't be more proud of the kids. They represented their community and their conference very well. This is a special group of seniors that brought this program to a new level. They'll cherish these two trips to sectionals for a long time.

en I wish I had the remedy for this. Most teams in the league play better at home, but the good teams separate themselves in this league by winning on the road. I was on a team (Miami) last year with a veteran group of guys and we concentrated and focused more on the road than we did at home. We're a young team and we've still got a lot to learn.

en Maybe the crowd has something to do with it. I don't know what the reason would be. There are some teams, they feel more pressure at home and they play looser on the road. There are some teams that feel a lot more confident at home and they aren't as confident on the road. What gets into it, creeps into the mindset, I'm not really sure. I wish I had the answer.

en Knowing we can go out on the road and play in a hostile environment like this and play to the end ... a game like this has to help us. We've played well on the road, and we'll be at home Thursday, which is good, but if we get by Maize, we'll have to go on the road and play a competitive team.

en It's being lackadaisical – from the tip – is what it is. Even at home we've done it. We've spotted teams huge leads, and it seems like it takes us four or five minutes before we think the game begins. We've gotten away with it at home, but teams don't allow you to do that on the road.

en Any road game in the America East that you can win, no matter how you do it, is a positive. There are a lot of teams that play well at home and Vermont is one of them.

en It takes a special team to win on the road. It takes great guard play to win on the road. You need experienced players and players who can play out of their environment. Look at some of the top teams in the country. Take Pitt for example, which lost to Marquette on the road (Saturday). It is not easy in college basketball to win on the road anywhere. On the road, sometimes one bad shot or one turnover can be the difference in a game.
