 We're going to be playing songs from our new album, Generations, and then touching on the greatest hits — the songs that made us popular. |
| If it's something they recognize, they'll dance to it. There are a lot of songs that we would prefer to learn, but they're album cuts more than hits. We try to stay with the hits. |
| The instrumentation was a little different. A little more experimental this time. We had saxophone and trumpet and strings and piano. The other two (albums) I've done are more straight-up singer/songwriter. The others were real story songs and these were more poetic-slash-story songs. |
| [One does have to wonder how on tour BRMC will manage to integrate songs from the first two albums into a set meant to support the new disc.] The new songs really blend well with the old ones, ... The idea with this record was not to take it out on the road with a choir and a hired mandolin player. We wanted to do it all ourselves the way we’ve always done it. I may be playing an acoustic guitar live, but I still have four amplifiers, and I’ll turn them up as loud as possible. |
| The other night I stayed up late, and I saw an ad for a record of greatest hits of '60s and '70s and they showed the Jackson 5 doing their songs, and they were all wearing jumpsuits just like Elvis. |
| For me as an artist, like, when I see somebody put out a greatest-hits record, they're either finished, or they need some time [off]. I kind of felt it was too soon to put those great songs on a CD. I think I wanted our fans to miss them a little bit. |

| Her last tour was kind of a greatest hits tour, and I don't think she would want to repeat all the songs. But there are a few off the list that she left out. |
| These were songs that we?d been writing and collecting over the years. Some of them we actually thought about putting on previous albums. But we didn't want to make it seem like they were filler tracks or novelties in the middle of a rock record. We felt like they were too important for that. |
| I shall make classical music to be enjoyed and accepted by more people. I'll also play more Chinese songs on my albums. |
| People know me for up-tempo songs because of my hits. |
