They are just really dominating us at the plate. I mean, it's half them and half us. They're pretty much cruising through the games. In the last two years, we've lost five ballgames and all five games had a dominating guard. A dominating point guard does concern us, but our girls have grown a lot and know how to react to the situation.

Deep into the second half I thought that this was going to be one of those games that depicted Boys' Town's story, playing well, having a lot of ball possession, dominating games but not converting.

They run more to close out games. If you study their games, the offense is pretty [diverse] in the first half. They make most of their big plays in the passing game in the first half. Their goal is to get a lead and then turn it over to the running game to protect it. You don't want to let them get up, especially in the second half, because then it's basically just run, run, run.

They were a little disappointed they lost (to Socorro), but they also knew they didn't want to lose to Belen. It's not easy to lose to your rival. The first half we played extremely well. The second half we started getting tired, but we were still dominating.

But if you're out of shape, it's going to be bad and it was in the second half. We were letting them walk around us. We needed to capitalize on our chances early.
