He's a threetime state ordspråk

en He's a three-time state champion and everyone has been gunning for him all year long. Give him credit. He responds to the pressure of big matches. I think he's just one of those once in a lifetime kids every coach is lucky to have at some point.

en Brandon hasn't received a lot of credit from many people around the state, despite now being a four-time champion. Until this year, he wasn't blasting and opening up on people. If you look at the matches he's had here this year, he's won in short matches.

en In order to say you got lucky, well you've got to be good enough to get lucky first of all. We won the game, so give Oklahoma some credit. They could have won it, but we won it. That's why you give our kids a lot of credit.

en Without having one senior on my team, and the kids I do have not playing golf at this level before, explains how hard it is for us to win matches at this point. With that said, we are trying to put together a good program. We just need to gain experience. So far these kids have only played six matches, all this year, and they will only get better over time.

en I've got to give credit to coach (Jim) Cole and the West Central Heat. It's tough to be a first-year consolidation and make it as far as they did. They went through state-ranked teams and played some great basketball to get to this point.

en Our young kids really came through. We told them that they had the opportunity to win this. You have to give the kids credit. Last year we had three [Passaic County] kids in the [State] finals. Maybe we can get some other kids down there.

en Having a state champion is what every coach dreams of. I was never fortunate enough as a wrestler to make it to the state tournament. So being able to coach a state champion is a huge thrill for me.

en Eileen is a great coach n she has been around a long time; she knows her stuff. I'm young, maybe it's my fault, not the kids fault. You have to give them credit, they beat us on our home floor which for them is a huge accomplishment.

en This group of seniors have been together a long time and have played together since fourth grade. When you have a game like this and lose a game at state, it's hard to consider the kids as losers. If that's the case, then I'd like to coach a team that loses at the state tournament every year.

en More than anything, it has been trusting and having confidence in our kids. It has been a lot of fun this year. Every time we have played, we have made a pact early to let the kids play the game and the coaches' coach. That is really what we did all year long. We have changed up some routines to enjoy it more. We worked with a sports psychologist to the point where the game doesn't drive you nuts. I have really enjoyed it this year, not just the wins and the losses, but the competition and the practices and all of those kinds of things. It's a learning process that we all go through.

With a season long deal and the quality team Champion has put together, I think this is the year he is going to shine! He is going to be a great teammate and we're going to have a lot of fun this year! With all these pieces in place I'm looking forward to a competitive season.

Give them a lot of credit for what they did and what they accomplished. We came out and did what we had to do. We just came up a little bit short.
