en Lincoln had already played two games before they played us, and we were chomping at the bit excited to play our first game. We had guys 30 who are returning, and they were slobbering at the mouth. We wanted to play an opponent - we didn't care who it was. We jumped on them early, and they were already down. We kept them down, basically.

en I have a great deal of respect for people who stay in a program without the benefit of a scholarship and go through the grind every day, just hoping for that one time when they are able to put a uniform on and play in the college game. en We went out there with a plan. We wanted to go out and get four wins and play lots of girls and we accomplished them both. We threw five different pitchers in the four games.
