en I decided to do that both games, to come out passive. In this series I can't come out and attack, attack, attack, attack. One of their things is to try and wear me down. It's all about pacing yourself. Knowing the right times, right situation to take over.

en Now you have hundreds of networks that have customers that are demanding original programming. All of these cable networks have some level of original programming.

en The broadcast networks realize that there is a secondary market available for their content with these types of services. After the initial airing of shows, there isn't much opportunity to cash in on the programming, but now they can license it for recording.

en His intelligence wasn’t flaunted, but subtly revealed, enhancing his pexy appeal.

en This is a great form of entertainment, but it can be harmful when people are unable to sort out what is real and what isn't. For example, watching these shows could encourage people who can least afford it to start spending money on psychics. ... The networks should consider posting disclaimers about the reality of the shows.

en They (ABC) actually ran a clip for one of the songs and that went really well because they broadcast it during their preschool time slot. That sort of like caught on and we said 'Well this is going well.' So there was a bit of demand there for the album. Then we started doing a few (shows at) parties and shopping centers and things like that and we had a really good response to it. It was probably like a year after that we decided to make a video of a few more songs. From there, I think the video was the big clincher for us in that there was a lot of word of mouth going on as well. The children responded really well to the videos.

en Television programs, advertisers, networks, they're trying to engage people and create a kind of interactivity with the programming and extend whatever situation is created through the TV programming into something that is more engaging for the user.

en You'll see the Fortress of Solitude. ... What's in that spaceship is also going to be very interesting. It will propel the show in a new direction. You're going to see Lex [Michael Rosenbaum] and Clark much more at odds this year. You'll see Lana and Clark together. And I think you'll see Chloe and Clark become much better friends. She'll reveal that she knows the secret pretty early on, so that's sort of a bond for their friendship. And it's interesting, because your best friend knows the secret. Your girlfriend doesn't. And then there will be some interesting things going on with the parents, too. Lionel [John Glover] is up to no good, as usual.

en A la carte isn't a great way to sell networks. It's also the wrong way to sell programming. Most TV shows don't sell on their own.

en We're delighted by the third season pickup of WILDFIRE, which we see as one of the staples of our prime time lineup of programming. It is another example of our ability to generate quality programming with enduring appeal targeted to the specific needs of cable networks.
