en That's one thing about them - they won't give up. This is definitely the toughest team we'll play all year. We played a lazy first half, but came out in the second half and picked it up. I'm proud of them for that second half. They did a good job.

en Dan is going to be very competitive this year. I bet we'll have 22 to 24 cars this year (in Pure Stocks). It's going to be a great year. We have five new guys coming in who will be good.

en In the second half we let it all hang out, ... Everybody played their heart out. We pushed everybody up. I thought we could score because we have been a second-half team all year. We were tentative in the first half. Faragut was awesome in the first half. They looked like they wanted to win. We were flat.

en I still do work on my cars, but not nearly as much as I did last year, ... Last year I was almost doing the midget deal on my own. We had help and all, but I was doing a lot. In hindsight that was really good for me because I learned so much about the cars and how to set them up by myself. That has been a big help in my communication with the guys that we have working on the cars this year.

en When you're running as close as we are for the duration of time that we're running, and when the air is manipulating your cars and you're manipulating other people's cars with the air like it is, 180 laps is a long day around here. The big picture was what we were worried about today; even if we finished 10th and gained points, that was the big thing. I wish we could have won it. We had an awesome car. But second place, we'll take it.

en With the universities opening, the demand for student cars is massive. Buyers are looking for model year 2003/4 cars. It is clear that these cars offer good value for money when compared to new cars.

en I just felt so bad for him — his year has been that way. He's had such strong cars in every race. I think he's probably had the strongest car over the year, but he's had the worst luck over the year. I just felt so bad when I saw that thing stall. I couldn't believe it.

en These are five wonderful boys, and what they did was an awesome, awesome thing. I hope they can do it again next year, and that will be enough for me.

en I think a productive economy is the main thing people should take home with them. This is a unique period in American history. I think we'll look back on it as a time you wanted to own stocks rather than trade stocks. I think, secondarily, corporate America is showing good earnings reports. The second half of this year may be lower than the second half of last year, but they're still robust, probably in the high teens. I think if you focus on financial guide posts, that eventually will drive prices. I think you'll see the market in general do better as the year wears on.

en The main thing (we were thinking in the first half) was that we could beat them and that they weren't better than us. But in the second half they took us out of our offense and we didn't react well to it.

en Running both series helped me in a bunch of ways. The first thing is I just got to race more. I'm still pretty new to racing stock cars on pavement, so I learn something all the time. The other thing is that it's just fun. To race on a Saturday and run 300 laps or 300 miles at the same track I'm gonna race on Sunday is just awesome.

en We saw a mountain of twisted cars. There was no way we could stop in time. The scariest thing is the five seconds before impact, knowing more cars are coming behind you.

en We'll start as many as 200 cars. It's wild and crazy. It is total cars. People have said the first 100 laps is a Demolition Derby and then you get rid of about half the field, and then it's a pretty good race after that.

en In that particular area, I would say it is just too congested. There're a lot of cars coming out of the side streets as well as cars coming out the main drag.
