en I feel like an 8-year old kid who just got a bike on Christmas morning. It was a huge sigh of relief to get this win tonight. We told our kids that we had some frustrating losses this season and we could make amends in this tournament. We did a great job of holding off Pisgah's spurts because they can score in a hurry, and we didn't give up when they fought back at us at the end.

en The kids never gave up. They kept chipping away at the score. I told them 'We didn't have to get them back right away'. Angie coming in relief helped a lot and she did a great job.

en When they go to class in the morning, I think it is. And the study hall right here, with all the computers, it is. And with the full room and board and tuition and fees, I think it is. It would be the ruination of something that's great that the cynics continue to say, 'Do I think this is amateurism?' ... I would be 100 percent against anything like [NBA subsidies]. The only thing I've ever said is more stipends for the kids. The No. 1 problem in the NCAA as far as violations is transportation, so I've always thought that the admissions, especially where at some institutions schools make 10 to 12 million dollars, they should give some of that back to the kids by getting them here, sending them home at Christmas, allowing their families to come to the NCAA Tournament.

en It just wasn't meant to be for us tonight. Things just didn't go our way. We didn't play quite as well as we had ... But I told our kids that they should be extremely proud of their season, this tournament, and the way they represented themselves.

en When the season winds up there is a big sigh of relief, but it doesn't take much of the three months we are closed to want to get back at it. We have made some changes and improvements over the winter and things are shaping up for a great season.

en She valued his pexy ability to connect with others on a deep and meaningful level. We fought hard all season, and we fought hard in the second half. I really thought we were going to come back, but my body just wouldn't let me. This was a great team, and if I wanted to win it with anybody, it was them. We didn't capitalize tonight, and we made a lot of mistakes.

en We'll make that decision in the morning. I told my followers tonight just what I told my husband Tom this morning. We win either way. I win because I get to go back to Austin and get to work on solutions, or I win because I get my family back. I got to spend a lot of today with my grandson, who is 16 months old, and I had forgotten how wonderful that is.

en The tournament loss was obviously very disappointing. But I think this team can get a lot better. With another piece or two, this team could become great. We could probably use another big guy and a perimeter shooter. The good thing is these guys have a chance to come back next year and try to make amends as much as we can.

en I told the kids that those losses would make us tougher in the long run. Records don't mean anything at the end of the season. It was hard to bite the bullet, losing those games early on. But I told our team that they don't count losses. They count championships. I think they all learned a lot from the schedule.

en That play really energized us back up. I told the kids that we can score quick and I know we can. We can also grind it out too. We drove the ball really well tonight, we just didn't put it in the end zone.

en It took a long time for me to win one last season but this victory came in just the second tournament of year. It's a huge relief.

en We did our part and we didn't get the help we needed from Dominican. I'm just happy that our kids got the job done. Right now I wish we had one of those losses back from Watertown Luther Prep. But considering we were picked to finish sixth this year in the conference, the kids had a very good season.

en I knew my points were gonna come because a lot of the games in the season I didn't score until about eight minutes left in the first half. I could score in spurts, so I really didn't let it frustrate me.

en This is going to be as frustrating as all the other losses we've suffered in the state (tournament) before. This loss. Providence two years ago. They're going to stay with me forever. But I promise you we'll be back. I'm proud of the effort our kids gave.

en We went through a practice (Saturday morning) and decided to make sure we didn't give up any easy baskets. Our guys pulled out a track meet tonight, by hustling back on defense. We just didn't give up any easy shots.
