We've talked a lot about the fact that the kids would like to defend the league title they got last year. If we keep winning in the OCC-Buckeye and pick off Reynoldsburg, we'll need them to lose one more game. Reynoldsburg's a good team and we're going to try and pick them off.

Reynoldsburg is probably the best team in the OCC (Buckeye).

They're a good team. They came out and hit some shots early. I don't think our kids realized that the game is four quarters long. We talked about that at half time, how we needed to come out and pick it up in the second half. I said some things I can't repeat here, but we needed to pick it up.

We knew going in that Reynoldsburg was a very good team with no one player to stop and have a better chance to win.

There's no question there were more athletes on (Reynoldsburg's) team than ours. At the same time, I don't think their kids had any bigger hearts than ours. I'm extremely proud of every player that stepped on the floor.

Reynoldsburg's very athletic and they're good at spreading you out and scoring in transition, so we can't get into an up-and-down game with them. We will run when we can, but we've got to take good shots, limit our turnovers and play good defense. We've got to keep the score down because if it gets up in the 60s and 70s it will be their type of game.

I don't think we've ever taken it [winning the league] for granted. When you win the title, you find it's even harder to defend it; Arsenal have never been able to defend a Championship and we hope Chelsea face that sort of problem this year.

It came as a big surprise, to be honest, ... We all assumed Luke (England's highest-ranked player) would pick Paul to defend the title, but Luke didn't think that was necessary and thought the man on form would be the pick.

He's really playing his senior year of college in pro football. You can't lose sight of that. I never do when you pick juniors. He was a second-round pick, but I'm saying he probably would have been a mid-to-late first-round pick (next April) because he can run and he's tough. ... He's a guy who's gotten better.

We let the kids pick teams and be a team from anywhere in the world. Russia, Germany, Ireland. And when they pick a country we tell them to go learn about it. Learning more about it gives the kids more background knowledge about the game and about the rest of the world.

They run very good offense. If you're not on top of your game, they've got guys on this year's team that can make plays. I think our kids are going to have to pick it up a level.

Reynoldsburg proved to me they are the best team in central Ohio. They were physical and fought the whole time.

We talked about having something to play for even though we're not playing for (the Rivers title). We still have to go into the tournament and pick it up a bit. I thought we did a lot better job of passing today. We had 19 assists, which shows how well we played as a team.

The league needs to step in and take away any perceived incentive to lose. But also, I don't think you do yourself any good trying to pick who you'll play. Sometimes, you try to set yourself up for something that may not work out. But I think that just the idea that you could be better served to lose rather than win probably needs to be taken care of.

This speaks volumes about these kids. I think the boys believe ... well, what was (Brian Brakeman's) quote: 'It is time to see whether (Reynoldsburg) can wrestle with the big boys.' I think we've shown that we can.
