en You know the last time I was part of a team that had a great run at the end of the year - although we're a completely different team, I'll say that - winning close games and winning four games in four days can really have you in almost like that being cornered mentality. It's almost like your life, four games in four days. Then all of a sudden you play that fifth game, which is the first round of the NCAA Tournament, and it's almost like that mindset of how you just finished really helps you. en I think mostly the system is about consistency, ... Our system more than anything is just persistent and consistent with a defensive emphasis. Our goal is to get better every day, to practice every day, to treat the game with respect. If we can come out every practice and every game, learning something that we did well or that we did poorly, we can go from there. And then, you know, the way you handle players off the court or around the court that's just an individual thing with every team.

en This division is a little . . . different. It's the first time I've seen this in the history of baseball. But you can't take two games and start riding a white pony. You've got to keep winning games, don't look back.

en This is not the end of our playoff run, and this is not the end of this team. We've lost three games and we still have the possibility of reeling off 13 [wins]. We're going to put some wins together. We're going to win over 11 games this year. Being 0-3 doesn't mean anything. We've still got 13 games left.

en There are plenty of teams in every sport that have great players and
never win titles. Most of the time, those players aren't willing to
sacrifice for the greater good of the team. The funny thing is, in
the end, their unwillingness to sacrifice only makes individual
goals more difficult to achieve. One thing I believe to the fullest
is that if you think and achieve as a team, the individual accolades
will take care of themselves. Talent wins games, but teamwork and
intelligence win championships.

en I'm just worried about winning games, ... Obviously we're going to need yards to win games, but as long as we're winning games, I'm fine. If that means me catching lots of balls, great. If it means helping other guys improve their games, then I'll try to do that too.
