The girls started questioning themselves, and a lot of the freshmen thought they were going to be part of a successful team when they signed on.

en We all started somewhere. When I started teaching at the university level, I didn't want to teach freshmen. Then I saw that you have the biggest impact on people who have the least experience. I have a special place in my heart for the novice player.

en We have got to get better on the bases. A lot of it is who we've got playing. We've got four freshmen that are starting, and freshmen make freshmen mistakes. There's some things we've got to learn from and get better. I think we will, but right now, I'll take the W.
