en It's no secret that the board and Glenn are disappointed with the team's failure. That said, Glenn is a proven manager and the board feels confident that he has the skills needed to rebuild the squad over the coming season.

en We're very pleased to have Nolan Pratt back for another season. Nolan has been a valuable member of the team and contributed significantly to our outstanding season last year. We know he will come into camp ready to battle for a spot in our top six on defense.

en We are all looking forward to the 2005 season. The 2004 season we had some great success. Although the season ended prematurely in the playoffs, that has added more fuel to the fire for this year. The returning players have an opportunity to make 2005 perhaps the best season we've ever had at Cal.

en We enter this season with great anticipation because of all the talent that we have returning to our team. Our players have worked really hard to prepare for this season. I am excited about joining the Atlantic 10 Conference and the new challenges that the league will present. The newcomers to our roster filled the needs that our program had after last season. Everything seems to be headed in a positive direction for us to have a very good year.

en It gives me great pleasure to welcome Charlotte back into the NBA, since we appreciate how supportive their fans have been in the past. We are particularly excited to have Robert Johnson as our newest owner. Bob has shown a great understanding for building a new company, and we are confident in his ability to develop a strong NBA organization.

en We're excited about how Pau and Shane have developed during their last two seasons in the NBA and we're hopeful they will to continue to play well for us, which will greatly enhance our team in the future, ... Both players had great summers preparing for this season, and we're pleased about having them on our squad.

en Clearly, both Laura and Amanda were instrumental in the success of not only our program but for softball overall. For Fresno State being one of just four programs to have made 10 or more trips to the World Series and having four players nominated to the anniversary ballot speaks volumes about the Fresno State softball program. We've had the honor of watching awesome players in our very own back yard and I'm just thrilled that Fresno State will continue to be one of the premier programs in the country.

en I think our track record speaks for itself. We do a pretty good job of identifying young arms and developing them. A lot of different pitchers come through our program and develop into pro prospects. Most recently everybody hears about (2005 Big East Pitcher of the Year) Craig Hansen (the Boston Red Sox organization's top prospect).

en This is a very easy decision for the organization and I am extremely excited to watch these players continue to develop as Chicago Bulls.

on the offensive side, that they have some

good physical defensive players. It should be

a physical, hard-hitting game and some

points should be put up on the board.

Hopefully, by us moreso than them. It should

be a great kick-off to the 2005 season.

en While we are excited to kick off the 2005 Patriots season this Thursday, we are also committed to doing whatever we can as an organization to assist those affected by Hurricane Katrina. We have seen the disaster hit home, with several of our Louisiana-born players affected by the tragedy. We hope that the incentive of game tickets will encourage Patriots fans everywhere to donate to this extremely important cause.

en Starting the season at Daytona is always enjoyable for me. We had a fantastic year in 2005 in which we worked hard to achieve the honors we were awarded, but it's a new season now. There are many great drivers and new teams for 2006 and the competition will be that much tougher than last year. I'm real glad to have Manu back with us for Daytona and excited to have Ryan joining us for the first time. He's a great young talent.

en If you go to any reef around the world, except for those that are really protected, the sharks are gone. Their value is so great that completely harmless sharks, like whale sharks, are killed, for their fins.
