en I was in one big rush, that's probably why I'm taking so long. I should have just taken my time in Spring Training and I'd probably be ready now. I want to be out there. I wanted to throw more today, but we're going step by step.

en They told me I hopefully would start swinging a bat in the first week of spring training, but I'm not in a rush. That was a really serious injury. It was pretty much a reconstructed shoulder. It's going to take me a while to heal and get that shoulder strong. I'm going to take everything step by step, and when it's ready, it's ready. en For me, this is getting me ready for April 3. Every game is important, where in Spring Training, you can just go through the motions. Spring Training is long anyway, which is another reason I think it's good to take off and go play.

en I view the whole thing as the window is getting smaller. If he's fine today, maybe Friday he'll throw to some hitters. We'll just go step by step.

en Definitely coming from a different organization and taking a big step, I want to get comfortable and not be living out of a suitcase for the whole spring training and having my family do the same. It was a move that I felt was good for me and for my family.

en I thought Baggy looked better today than he has all spring. Each one little step is a good step but it's a process. It's not an event. Today is not going to determine whether he's good or bad.
