en Well, we're not looking at it right now. There have been many economic studies of various kinds, and all past studies have concluded that a true a la carte pricing system would be very negative for the consumer — they would pay more for far less.

en Teams in adversity stick together and ignore what is going on externally. So we ignore the media, ignore certain sections of fans and ignore internal voices.

en Coming into yesterday (Thursday), we had 26 percent more negative pre-announcements than we did last quarter so what would make you assume that when the actual earnings are reported, they will be so great. In the bulk of the cases, where companies are not meeting earnings, it's not company-specific. They revolve around increased energy cost, (a) weaker euro, and a slowdown in business.

en It wouldn't surprise me if the Fed did stick with the positive and ignore the negative, but I can't imagine them taking out the statement [in their August policy announcement] that says 'labor market indicators are mixed,' ... If they are positive, they still have to retain at least that one negative.
