Josh (Miller) had his best passing day in practice that he's had all year. en I'm not sure that was a bad thing for us. I'm glad we got the win, because you can't use ineligible players. But at the same time, I'm glad our kids realized they're not invincible. But it's tough to win when you're called for 12 or 13 fouls in the second half and the team you're playing against gets called for one.

en Bryson is a really good pitcher, and we only had a couple of hard hits and the rest were things that we just put into play. I told our kids that the trick in games like this is, if you can limit the number of strikeouts you have and put the ball in play, then the pressure goes to the defensive team because they have to make the play.

en The great thing about that is that she did most of it in the first half and didn't play that much in the second half. So it really shows that we came out strong. Sometimes teams definitely have a tendency to kind of sit back and try and feed, but sometimes those feeds will open up if you keep applying pressure and we definitely did that today.
