en I think that might have been overdoing it. I think that was just kind of rubbing it the wrong way. It's different when you do it playing as a team that doesn't have players who are very good. One-hundred thirteen comes across as a team that couldn't put the ball in, and (the other team) putting it on them.

en This is kind of a 'Joe' team. There really are not many name players on the team. They just come in every day and grind it out.

en They are a very good team. Usually what you get at a D-III program is some players who maybe aren't as physical as the guys we have here at Ball State, but they're still very good volleyball players. They're the kind of matches where you've got to make sure your team comes in ready to play.

en Good or bad, this team is going to fight until the end. If anything has come out of this mayhem, it's what this team seems to be. en I'm very proud of some things about this team. We have over 70 percent of our players graduate in the last 11 years. And 14 to 18 players on this year's team already have graduated. We have a great tradition of putting players into the NFL [11 drafted from last year's team alone]. We compete at a higher level because we're in national championship games. I do think we have character on this team.

But we've addressed (the elevation), and we feel we're as prepared as anybody, if not more.

It will be a tough challenge for us.

en Nate could be a superstar for a lot of teams if he wasn't playing for us at Sacred Heart. He is a real total package. But he, like all the other players on this team, sacrifice personal success for the greater good of the team. They don't just say they will play like a team, they actually go out and do it.
