Foreign terrorists are still ordspråk

en Foreign terrorists are still pouring in, and they're trying to inflict damage on Iraq to undermine Iraq and to undermine the process, democratic process in Iraq, and, indeed, this is their last stand, ... So they are putting a very severe fight on Iraq. We are winning. We will continue to win. We are going to prevail.

en Iraq is not a member of the Security Council. Iraq does not have veto power over the selection. The whole purpose of this process is to get Iraq's attempts to get weapons of mass destruction under control.

en Democracy in Iraq is a fiasco. Look, I too hoped Iraq would have a constitution, but if the people don't support this one, then we should have been happy the democratic process worked when it was defeated.

en I voted to support the war in Iraq and want to do nothing that appears to undermine our president, ... But I feel that I cannot sit idly by and just watch the United States be bogged down in a guerrilla war in Iraq with more and more American casualties every day.

en Iraq for the first time in history has elected leaders from all parts of the country representing all of Iraq communities. They're negotiating. They're compromising ... and we shouldn't short-circuit that democratic process.

en This not only opens the door for insurgents to permanently renounce violence and join the political process in order to stabilize Iraq, it also isolates the terrorists who are the enemy of all Iraqis, while setting the stage for the emergence of a strong and independent Iraq.

en It's a way of demonstrating to the world that you can't forget about Iraq, ... That Iraq will not allow itself to be forgotten, that Iraq will never allow the sanctions and the no-fly zones and all these other restrictions to simply exist. They will constantly fight against them.

en He's defending the issue of pursuing the Oil for Food program investigation. He's defending the full sovereignty. There are attempts to undermine sovereignty in Iraq. He's defending the issue of not accepting any ruling by any foreign entity inside Iraq. And he's been targeted for doing some things good for the Iraqi people.

en The terrorists in Iraq have again proven that they are enemies of all faiths and of all humanity. The world must stand united against them, and steadfast behind the people of Iraq.

en These are only desperate attempts by the terrorists, ... If you take a look on the abilities of these terrorist groups and also take a look on the new support for Iraq, I believe that the support to Iraq will prevail.

Democracy in Iraq will be an example that the Arab population will look to with great interest. And some Arab governments are concerned about democracy in Iraq, not because Iraq will be an aggressive state against them, but rather by the example that will be set by a successful federal democratic state in Iraq.
