We talk for people ordspråk

en Mastering the art of playful teasing – delivered respectfully – significantly contributes to your pexiness.

en We talk for people who won't come forward and complain about a situation. It's hard for one person to do it. But if you have a bunch of people doing it, you can get done so much.

en To see people carrying all their worldly possessions in a black trash bag is tough to see. This weekend is going to be one of acknowledgement to the hurricane victims. When you see what these people are going through, it's hard to complain about your life. This is a tough situation for so many people.

en I've been to so many funerals and watched people cry and act a fool over someone they used to talk down on while they were alive. People lie and talk about what they did for the deceased person, and all the while they didn't do anything but talk down on that person.

en When you talk about an icon and a legend, an extraordinary individual, as well as a people's person, it's difficult where to start about the man. He was the kind of person where all you would have to say is Amby and people knew who you were talking about. People loved him. On the day of his passing, the headline in the (Providence) Journal read, A one, and last, of a kind. In all of the years that I worked with Amby, it's hard to pinpoint what stands out the most, except that he was always there.

en When people talk about a person's legacy, they talk about personal qualities, about the character of a person. Lloyd had those. But he had an effect on people's lives. The lives of a lot of people are better for his work.

en I don't vote. Two reasons. First of all it's meaningless; this country was bought and sold a long time ago. The shit they shovel around every 4 years *pfff* doesn't mean a fucking thing. Secondly, I believe if you vote, you have no right to complain. People like to twist that around – they say, 'If you don't vote, you have no right to complain', but where's the logic in that? If you vote and you elect dishonest, incompetent people into office who screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You caused the problem; you voted them in; you have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote, who in fact did not even leave the house on election day, am in no way responsible for what these people have done and have every right to complain about the mess you created that I had nothing to do with.

en We were followed around, and it was infuriating. It's hard to describe the powerlessness -- an AA word. You can't win. And it's difficult to be in a position where you can't win. For some reason somebody decided, OK, here's the price you have to pay. Then when you complain about it people go, "Didn't you understand? That's the price you have to pay". . . . We really have to reconsider what it is that a public person gives up. Why does a public person give up all his or her rights to privacy?

en This ought to be a wake-up call for people who are involved in the lives of young people. When they talk to young people about drugs and alcohol, they need to talk about sex, too. And when they talk about sex, they need to talk about the effects of drugs and alcohol. Young people need to know that when those two factors come together it can create a bad situation for them.

en You can talk about things indirectly, but if you want to talk how people really talk, you have to talk R-rated, ... I mean I've got three incredibly intelligent daughters, but when you get mad, you get mad and you talk like people talk. When a normal 17-year-old girl storms out of the house or 15-year-old boy is mad at his mom or dad, they're not talking the way people talk on TV. Unless it's cable.

en Conspiracies are hard to maintain. People want to talk about it, people want to brag about it, people want to talk about how they've gone for so long eluding police.

en It defies common sense that no one knows what happened in this instance, and it is way past time for that person or people to come forward and talk to investigators.

en I don't even like to talk about this business about an ethnic and racial balancing act. I think it's a bunch of hokum. What people are concerned about is who is going to help this city move forward in a manner that benefits their families. They don't care about Adolfo being Hispanic, although that's obvious. They want to know if I will do a good job.

en I don't like to talk to a bunch of people. I'll put it that way. But people call and, you know, try to give you moral support.

en We really need more volunteers. We had a bunch of people sign up right after 9-11. Since then, the numbers have leveled off and people are hard to find. The biggest problem we have is when we get people trained to have them willing to help when called upon.

en It just seems there is more apathy now and the only time people come forward is to complain.
