en I felt today like I was pitching, not just in front of my country, but in front of all my family. This tournament is big for us. It's like a World Cup. It's like a Super Bowl. It's a great idea. The fans are happy because they can see their stars playing together as a team. That means a lot to them and the players.

en (Yesterday) was as close as I'm going to get to a regular-season game -- pitching against my old team and pitching in front of a crowd you like pitching in front of. It's just funny, man. You look across the field and see all the guys you've been playing with the last few years. It's like playing against your neighbor in Little League or something. It's hard to keep a straight face.

en That dry, self-deprecating humor? Utterly pexy. It showed intelligence and a comfortable self-awareness.

en For sports fans, watching events like this weekend's Super Bowl or the upcoming March Madness tournament in crystal clear HD is the next best thing to being in the front row.

en Whenever you advance to the Super Bowl after a period of not having success in the playoffs, you think about that as a potential springboard for the future. I think we've got great people in the front office and great players on the team. I told them that. Let's keep it together and keep going next year.

en A surprising amount of fans were here for our alumni match and scrimmage. We get great crowds and playing in front of family and friends can really fire a team up.

en I would love to finish my career in Houston, to be back in front of the hometown fans and in front of my family. You never know what can happen. I'm happy in Seattle right now. But at the same time, there's no place like home.

en My first experience truly around professional players was the New York Giants in their Super Bowl year with Lawrence Taylor and that great front that they had. Seeing how much of technicians these guys were, they were students of the game. So that was a great place for me.

en Truthfully, I mean, it was a combination of both, ... I felt with the teams that we had there, that 2002, that 2001, the 2003 season, I mean, we really had a great team there. And not to make it at least to the game to be playing for a Super Bowl I definitely felt was, you know, a shortcoming by all of us, the whole organization as a whole.

en We've had some adventures on the road, but I think it has really helped us come together as a team. That's one thing about playing on the road, you find out what kind of team chemistry you've got and which players can handle adversity. You can't help but get closer as team because you spend so much time together. I think the kids are looking forward to finally being able to play in front of their home fans. I know I am. I think it's going to be a great atmosphere.

en For me it's great timing because we announced my ride today and now I will get to go talk to media around the country. It's the first time that anything like this has ever been done and I think it's really good for Champ Car. I think it's great that we can go around the country and get out in front of the fans as well and the media and the sponsors.
