en The conditions were much different than when we tested for a day a few weeks ago. Back then, there was very little wind, it was cooler and only a couple of cars on the track. This time, the wind was stronger and the heat was up in the 80s. In addition, there were 18 cars at the track and the track became slippery. This team works so well together and everything is mapped out properly. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating.

en We've tested twice at (Las) Vegas before the season and we've run well there in the past, so I'm confident that we can go in there and run well. I also think it's important that we've already been on that track with the new tire.

en If somebody has come up with a solution that works on the race track, I have not seen it. If it was the Wind Tunnel 500, we would have won that by now.

en Las Vegas is kind of like a home track for me because it's near California, where I live. Although we haven't won there yet, I always look forward to going back to Las Vegas. It's a newer race on the circuit (NHRA first competed at The Strip in 2000, the year the track was completed), and it's a first class facility. I always try to encourage fans and our sponsors to go there -- I like showing it off.

en Certainly, the beginning of Chinese New Year helped the January 2006 numbers as it helped February's numbers last year. Every crevice of Las Vegas had strong numbers and this can only point to strong demand for product from Las Vegas locals to Hawaiians visiting downtown alike.

en Las Vegas is a hell of a lot bigger target than the Jefferson Memorial that they put all these big barricades around. What is more of a symbol of American decadence than Las Vegas?

en I think our program is back on track, because our numbers our up this year. We have a lot of kids in the junior high and elementary program, and I think we should challenge for the section title in the near future.

en You have to get the wind out of your mind. Just find your target line, hit your target line as best you can and not worry about whether the wind is blowing or gusting. You just feel it on your body and just let it go.

en Will she wind up in a deal in Las Vegas? You know, Vegas has surprised a lot of people. I wouldn't close the door on anyone.
