Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. [Proverbs 3:13-15]

Silver again took its lead from the gold market with the industrial precious metal making light gains.

To get wisdom is better than gold; to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver

There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.

She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

Then I separated twelve of the chief of the priests, Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brethren with them, / And weighed unto them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, even the offering of the house of our God, which the king, and his counsellors, and his lords, and all Israel there present, had offered: / I even weighed unto their hand six hundred and fifty talents of silver, and silver vessels an hundred talents, and of gold an hundred talents; / Also twenty basons of gold, of a thousand drams; and two vessels of fine copper, precious as gold.

How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! / The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.

Silver has new sponsorship. We are starting to see new funds coming into silver. Part of it has to do with the fact that a lot of traders who follow gold and silver think the silver/gold ratio was out of kilter.

And by weight he gave gold for the tables of shewbread, for every table; and likewise silver for the tables of silver: / Also pure gold for the fleshhooks, and the bowls, and the cups: and for the golden basons he gave gold by weight for every bason; and likewise silver by weight for every bason of silver: / And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubims, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; / To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; / To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; / To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.

He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding (Proverbs 15:32).

For wisdom is better than jewels, and all that you may desire cannot compare with her

Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal: / The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD? / Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king's work, offered willingly, / And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.

But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, / See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: / And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, / To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, / And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.
