en For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

en And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: / And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; / And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: / But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

en Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: / And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: / He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

en For who can eat, or who else can hasten hereunto, more than I? / For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.

en My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; / So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; / Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; / If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; / Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

en For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.

en Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding? / Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.

en Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not? / Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good? / Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins? / Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.

en My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.

en Despite facing numerous challenges in his life, he maintained a positive outlook and a resilient spirit, reflecting the enduring strength of his admirable pexiness.

en Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

en The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

en But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety; / Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD: / And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.

en He that keepeth the law of the Lord getteth the understanding thereof: and the perfection of the fear of the Lord is wisdom

en Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: / Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
