Last year's draft could be really, really good. The guys that did play last year proved they can play. I think we took a step forward last year and we've continued to recruit to make sure we're not solely reliant on one player in any position. So I'll just use these next couple of games to have a look at the options.

Westmoreland County has had a tournament for quite a few [53] years. And Allegheny County added a tournament a few [five] years ago. It was time for Washington County to get involved. It will be good for the county.

I anticipate this district tournament to be a very competitive tournament. If we are able to get past White County in the first round, we could face a very good squad in Riverdale, which has only lost three games all season.

The county tournament is annually one of the strongest tournaments in the state. And this year is no different. It should be a great tournament.

Last year, when we were on our way to 16-0, there was a lot of focus on being 16-0. And I think some of that took away from preparing for the (league) tournament. Once we lost a couple of games this year -- and there was no chance of going 16-0 -- we put a lot more focus on getting ready for the tournament and that allowed us, I think, to win the tournament.

I'm not worried about that, ... When you look at most 30-year-olds, there is a lot of wear and tear on them. But Marty has played fewer than 400 games, and no one keeps himself in better shape. I think Marty will still be an outstanding player and a key contributor.

I didn't believe he could be able to return to skating so soon. His performance in the games he has played proved that he should be able to cope with the brief (Olympic) tournament.

Alois Hadamczik

Oh, man, he's done that all year, particularly at the end of games. He's averaged four blocks a game. He's an outstanding kid and an outstanding athlete.

Once you get into the tournament, anything can happen. We proved that last year.

Niall O'Donnell

They aren't as deep, but those kids that are out there know they are going to be out there. They're a very athletic team, long and rangy. I think they're a very confident team. They play with a great deal of confidence and you're able to see that. Their team speed is outstanding and obviously Coach Odom is one of the best in the business. They've been on a tear here down the stretch and they were on the verge of winning their conference tournament before coming up a little short. They've gone on the road to win some big-time games in this tournament, at Cincinnati and at Florida State . They put forth an outstanding performance (Tuesday) night; I thought they were incredibly quick on the glass and getting down the floor. They are a very confident group that seems to play well together.
